BB&E Gives Back Through Service at Food Gatherers

BB&E Team Members volunteered at a local food-bank, Food Gatherers.  Food Gatherers exists to alleviate hunger and eliminate its causes in our community by: reducing food waste through the rescue and distribution of perishable and non-perishable food, coordinating with other hunger relief providers, educating the public about hunger, and developing new food resources.  Food Gatherers provides enough food for more than 12,000 meals a day.  Food Gatherers distributes the food to more than 150 community programs in the Washtenaw County area.  BB&E Team Members sorted through produce, baked goods, and beverages, rescuing salvageable items.  All involved found the experience a great way to give back to the local community and look forward to volunteering with Food Gatherers in the future.
